The strain-controlled consolidation tester is used to test soil samples under continuous loading at a constant strain rate. The soil samples are subjected to lateral and axial pressure for drainage. The deformation of the specimen and the change in pore water pressure during the test are measured to determine the consolidation amount and consolidation rate of the soil sample. This Soil Consolidation Testing Apparatus mainly consists of a constant strain loading control system, a computer data acquisition and processing system, a loading test machine, a consolidation container (removable seal) and accessories such as stainless steel ring knives.

Equipment Features

2. The test time is relatively short (half the time required for traditional consolidation tests).

4. More reliable evaluation of consolidation and compression parameters.

Software Functions

  • • Real-time collection and storage of consolidation loading force values, consolidation compression deformation and changes in sample pore pressure.
  • • Automatically plot data graphs of axial pressure and compression deformation, and time and pore pressure.
  • • The sampling frequency can be set arbitrarily according to test requirements.
  • • Preset test stop conditions: Time and compression deformation can be set in advance.
