OEM Automatic soil direct shear test apparatus Soil Direct Shear Apparatus Soil Direct Shear Tester Manufacturers, Supplier

This direct shear tester is used to determine the shear strength of soil. Typically, a single specimen is subjected to shear force under different vertical pressures to determine the shear stress at failure. The shear strength coefficient, internal friction angle, and cohesion are then determined using Coulomb's law. The strain-controlled direct shear tester is a standard device for determining shear strength in geotechnical testing.

Equipment Composition

The Soil direct shear apparatus consists of a main unit for the direct shear test, a pressure control system, a direct shear data acquisition controller, an air pump, and host computer software.
Main Structure: The shearing container consists of upper and lower shear boxes. Constant-velocity shear displacement (strain-controlled) is achieved by pushing the lower box.
Vertical Pressurization: Lever-type loading (lever ratio 1:12) is used, applying different vertical pressures (e.g., 1.275 kg, 2.55 kg weights) using weights.
Horizontal Shear Force: Measured via a push rod and force ring. In strain-controlled systems, the lower box is moved at a constant speed by a motor.
Auxiliary Systems: Includes a pressure control system, a data acquisition controller (0.0002 mm accuracy displacement sensor), and an air pump.
The direct shear controller displays the maximum vertical pressure, shear force, and displacement. The software runs on a Windows operating system and enables automatic data extraction, storage, printing, and export.
